Thomas William Norman (Child #7) was born just 7 days before the 1820 census recorded this family on 07 Aug 1820. It's likely the census data was collected before he was born since all the entries are in alphabetical order, so there would have been a time lag between when all families were counted and when the census was recorded. Thus, he was not counted.
We assume Joseph Murphey (child #6) died before 1827 when his brother, Joseph Hargraves, was born. Otherwise, there would have been two children named Joseph. This happened before in this family: Mary Eliza (child #8) was so named after her older sister, Mary (child #2), died as a child eleven years earlier.
Two boys age "under 5" were enumerated in 1830, but only one child aged 10-14 was enumerated in 1840, so we presume this Unknown son (child #11) died between 1830 and 1840.
By the time of the 1850 census, all living children were out of the house and Mary W. Norman was living alone.
Margaret Rebecca married twice. She married (1) Donald Fraser on 02 Mar 1826 (no children), then (2) David A. Miller on 06 Jan 1831.
